BACKSTORY

The Pathology Prowlers originated in 1967 when a group of forensic pathologists discovered their shared love of motorcycles during an international conference on unexplained deaths. What began as an impromptu ride through the Swiss Alps to decompress after a particularly gruesome case study presentation evolved into a global fraternity of death investigators who believe that the best way to understand life's fragility is to occasionally risk ending it on two wheels at high speed. 

The club's badge was designed by an Italian medical illustrator who specialized in both anatomical drawings and motorcycle pinstriping—a niche expertise that finally found its perfect application. The skeletal rider represents Dr. Heinrich Müller, the founding president, who famously arrived at an autopsy still wearing his riding leathers after discovering the deceased was one of his former racing rivals.

The club's international chapters meet annually at both medical conventions and motorcycle rallies, often causing confusion when they show up to either wearing the inappropriate attire for the occasion. Their traditional initiation involves identifying the make, model, and year of a motorcycle engine using only post-mortem examination techniques—a ritual that has been discontinued in most countries due to unnecessary wear on perfectly good engines.
